Den,
2020 has been fairly rubbish and your passing hasn’t helped, however I hope you can now find some peace.
You were both a positive and upbeat role model for me growing up, I found your lack of political correctness particularly refreshing (I know Ian didn’t!), however a distasteful joke or an offbeat remark that escaped the 1950’s leaves me smiling now as I pen this tribute.
It seems strange that an old menace like yourself has unwittingly organised a farewell to be aired on the radio with pictures over the World Wide Web, I suppose this is why both yourself and Peggy were once dubbed the silver surfers!
I am sorry I cannot be there to send you off, (I suppose we can blame the bloke who ate a bat for that!) however I will be thinking of you.
Say hello to Peg for me and maybe look in on the Rudling’s every once in a while.

Thank you for setting up this memorial to Dennis.
We hope that you find it a positive experience developing the site and that it becomes a place of comfort and inspiration for you to visit whenever you want or need to.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
